근대 건축의 아버지라 불리는 르 코르뷔지에의 건축물을 사진 작가 임정의의 시선으로 다시 바라본다. 건축뿐만 아니라 회화, 조각, 시 등의 여러 분야에 걸쳐 탁월한 능력을 발휘했으며 학문 간의 연계를 꿈꾸었던 르 코르뷔지에는 건축을 사회적, 문화적 구축물에서 순수한 창조물로까지 이끌어 올린 것으로 평가 받는다.  30여 년 동안 건축 사진에 몸을 담아온 작가 임정의는 르 코르뷔지에의 건축에 대해 ‘동선이 시원하고 인위적이지 않은 흐름이 멋졌다’고 말하며 그의 건축을 사진으로 담게 된 동기를 밝혔다. 작가는 빛의 예술이라 불리는 사진이라는 장르를 통해, 정적인 건축물에 생명을 불어 넣는 작품을 구현해 왔다. 이러한 작업의 연장선에서 작가의 의도가 ‘르 코르뷔지에를 보다’ 전시를 통해 재현될 것이다.

Photo artist, Lim Chung-eui looks at the buildings which Le Corbusier called the father of modern architecture designed in the exhibition 'Looking at Le Corbusier' on his own view. Le Corbusier showed outstanding ability in painting, sculpture, poetry as well as the architecture and he dreamed of academic connection. He is appreciated to promote the architecture from the social and cultural structure to the pure creation. Lim Chung-eui who has engaged in the architecture photograph for over 30 years said that traffic line was clear and natural current was fascinating about Le Corbusier's buildings, which made him take photographs of them. Lim has breathed new life into static buildings through photography called light art. In this exhibition which is the extension of his work, his intention would be appeared again.
