기억의 단편들을 현실로 소환시켜 사진으로 재구성하고, 현존했던 대상들을 지금 마주하는 세계로 교차시키는 작업을 진행했다. 주요 작업으로 《SF》, 《SIOT》, 《북한산》, 《섬광기억》, 《고고학》이 있으며, 미국 포토페스트 비엔날레, 스페인 포토에스파냐 비엔날레, 서울시립미술관, 국립현대미술관 등에서 다수의 단체전에 참여했다. 2011년의 사진비평상을 비롯하여 제 7회 KT&G 상상마당 SKOPF 올해의 최종 작가(2015), 영국 브리티시 저널 오브 포토그라피의 ‘Ones to Watch’(2016), 제 10회 일우 사진상 출판부문(2019)을 수상했다. 국립현대미술관 고양레지던시, 인천아트플랫폼, 금천예술공장, 난지창작스튜디오에서 활동했다.

홍익대학교 동양화과 학사와 석사를 졸업하고 현재 홍익대학교 동양화과 교수를 역임하고 있다. 아라리오뮤지엄(서울), Triumph갤러리(모스크바), 두산갤러리(뉴욕), Edwin’s갤러리(자카르타), Baikart갤러리(LA), 갤러리현대16번지 등에서 다수의 개인전을 열었고, 국립현대미술관, 서울시립미술관, 국립아시아문화전당, Museum of Moscow, 금호미술관, 환기미술관, 프르젝트스페이스 사루비아, 주영 한국문화원, 주벨기에 한국문화원, 스페이스캔 베이징 등 다수의 기획전에 참여하며 국내외 미술계에서 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있다. 고양창작스튜디오, 난지창작스튜디오, 아트센터 화이트블럭의 레지던시 프로그램에 참여했으며 중앙미술대전과 송은미술대상전 등에서 우수상을 수상한 바 있다.

Doyeon Gwon

 

Doyeon Gwon studied literature in college and then majored in photography in graduate school. His photography is concerned with exploring the relationship between knowledge and memory, the visual image, and language. His solo exhibitions include Bukhansan (Gallery Nook, Seoul, 2019), Flashbulb Memories (Gallery Lux, Seoul, 2018), The Art of Shovel (KT&G Sangsangmadang,Seoul, 2015), and Traveller Novice (Gallery Ryugaheon, Seoul, 2011). He has also participated in many group exhibitions, including FotoFest Biennial (US), PHotoESPAÑA Biennial (Spain), Daegu Photo Biennale (South Korea), and shows at the GoEun Museum of Photography, Busan, and Seoul Museum of Art. He received the Sajin Bipyong (Photography Criticism) Award (2011), has been selected as a finalist for the 7th KT&G Sangsangmadang SKOPF (2015), was included in the British Journal of Photography’s “Ones to Watch” (2016), and received the 10th Ilwoo Photography Award.

Lee Jinju

Lee Jinjoo graduated with a bachelor's degree and master's degree in Oriental painting at Hongik University and is currently a professor of Oriental painting at Hongik University. She held a number of individual exhibitions at Arario Museum (Seoul), Triumph Gallery (Moscow), Doosan Gallery (New York), Edwin's Gallery (Jakarta), Baikart Gallery (LA), and Gallery Hyundai 16. In addition, she participates in a number of exhibitions, including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the Seoul Museum of Art, the Museum of Moscow, the Kumho Museum of Art, the Ventilation Museum, the Project Space Sarubia, the Juyoung Korean Cultural Center, and Spacecan Beijing. She participated in the residency programs of Goyang Creative Studio, Nanji Creative Studio, and Art Center White Block, and won excellence awards at the Central Art Exhibition and Songeun Art Awards.
